I had a troubling experience with the hotel's location. it was in a shady area and felt unsafe to walk around at night. the breakfast situation was confusing as they charged us 27 euros, despite us believing it was included. the communication at check-in about additional fees was unclear and came as an unpleasant surprise.

would love to go back
The stay had a clean room and modern decor. The shower pressure was powerful, and the bathroom had good free toiletries. The breakfast had a nice selection including fresh pastries and the area felt welcoming. It’s located just a 5-minute walk from Gare du Nord, which made traveling around a breeze.

This place surprised me with its unique railway-themed decor that instantly made me feel like I was part of a Parisian journey. The breakfast buffet was absolutely delightful, featuring a mix of scrumptious pastries and hearty options, the best way to kick off the day! The Appia hotel has a solid location, just a short walk from Gare du Nord, which made it convenient for my travels. The room was clean and had a nice decor that reflected a modern aesthetic. I appreciated the functional heating and air conditioning, especially since the Paris weather can be unpredictable. Daily breakfast had a good selection of local pastries, though I found the €16 price steep. On the other hand, the noise from the street was quite disruptive as I could hear loud sounds throughout the night. My initial room wasn't the best. After a conversation with the staff, they did move me to a better room with coffee amenities, which I appreciated. the inconsistency in communication about these features was concerning. it provided a decent place to rest my head but had some noticeable flaws.
